For our Cosmos board, we put our budding knowledge of astrology to use to provide a general astrological overview of what the world can expect in 2021.

During most of 2021, both Jupiter and Saturn will be "transiting" Aquarius, meaning those planets will be moving through the Aquarius sign. We will explain what that means, but first, here's some technical background on it. Saturn, the "great teacher," is the planet of restriction, discipline, traditional structures, and perseverance, and it is at home in Aquarius, which is a sign that also embodies many of these same characteristics. Jupiter, the "great benefic," is the planet of luck, expansiveness, and abundance. In addition, Saturn in Aquarius will also be making a "square aspect" (also known as a "challenging aspect") with Uranus, the planet of freedom, revolution, and independence, and in early 2021, Saturn will make a square to Mars, the planet of energy, drive, and aggression, both of which will occur in Taurus.

So what does this mean for 2021? Well, we can expect a widespread/abundant (Jupiter) change in traditional structure/order (Saturn) with an emphasis on freedom/individualism (Uranus) coming from hard work and discipline, as well as some aggressive energy (Mars). The good news is, change can be a great thing! Cheers to 2021.
