Cosima Fryer
Founder of Cosima Interiors
What do you do?
I'm a tablescape curator for private clients and hospitality projects in the US and I also consult for Interior Designers starting their own homeware lines. Sourcing suppliers, creating designs, sampling the product and eventually seeing it on the shelf!
What china pattern or dinnerware do you use at home?
I recently moved to LA where the lifestyle and aesthetic is opposite to London, so I have been working with Marie Dâage on creating a beautiful and contemporary tablescape for my new home. Currently I'm loving Themisz Serenity line which is perfect for outdoor dining in the hills!
What is your favorite glassware?
Glassware is possibly my favorite item on the table. I have a gorgeous Cosima set by Campbell-Rey and love using Carlo Moretti's playful water tumblers to add some life to the table. Tamra UK make the best copper tumblers for a Moscow mule!
What are your go to table linens for hosting?
Pink House Mustique is my go-to for throwing a party and I'm always adding to my La Gallina Matta collection.
What is your go to flatware?
Alain Saint Joanis or Christofle! They have mastered everything about design and functionality when it comes to flatware.
What is your favorite tableware accessory, if you have one?
Napkin rings. You can get very creative and use ribbon or faux flowers to tie around the napkins. One Christmas I wrapped monogrammed luggage tags around the napkins to serve as a place setting as well as a gift for each guest. It was really beautiful!
What is on your dinner party playlist?
Anything from Frank Sinatra to Hotel Costes. I usually pick a few favorites on Spotify and play that song's radio.
What is your go-to menu or something that people go wild for?
I do love making a Sunday roast. Growing up in the countryside our Sunday lunches were definitely a big event and a fondue Chinoise is something special I love making for my friends. It's also completely unexpected in LA!
What is your drink of choice?
A glass of Chambolle Musigny or a Pisco Sour which I learnt to make when I was in Peru.
What’s your favorite home or table goods store?
Artemest, Land of Belle, Bonadea & The Invisible Collection.
You can’t entertain without?
A great bottle of wine and some fresh flowers
The host/hostess gift you want to receive?
Zoe de Givenchy's set of mugs or quite frankly anything she makes - her line is absolutely exquisite!
Is there anything else you want our followers to know?
I am working on a very exciting collaboration in the States and involving my favorite artisans in Europe. I will share more once it is announced. Bringing talent together and seeing designs come to fruition is such an inspiring part of my job. And hopefully my home renovation is complete soon so I can finally start having friends over. I've loved meeting new people in LA and want to host them all at my table!
